Serbian Delta Agrar Ltd is studying the possibility of investing in Tajikistan’s agrarian sector.

A Delta Agrar delegation arrived in Tajikistan on November 6 for a five-day visit.  The main purpose of the visit is for the Serbian company to study the possibility of investing in processing fruits and vegetables in Tajikistan, according to the press center of the State Committee on Investments and Sate-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest) of Tajikistan.  

The Delta Agrar delegation has recently met with senior representatives of GosKomInvest to discuss cooperation.

Representative of Delta Agra have reportedly been invited to visit Tajikistan’s free economic zones (FEZs).  

Tajikistan is a highly agrarian country, with its rural population at more than 70% and agriculture accounting for 60% of employment and around 30% of GDP.

Headquartered in in Novi Beograd, Delta Agrar LTD has been present in the agribusiness community since 1993 and remains a leader in all aspects of agricultural operations.  Currently, the company is present on the markets of the countries in the region, the European Union, Russia and Switzerland.
