DUSHANBE, February 5, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Open joint-stock company (OJSC) Agroinvestbonk, which is the second largest commercial bank in Tajikistan, and OJSC Rosselkhozbank (Russian Agricultural Bank or RAB) have signed a general agreement in Moscow this week.
According to Aroinvestbonk’s headquarters in Dushanbe, the agreement defines general terms of financing by Rosselkhozbank of export-import transactions of customers of Agroinvestbonk, including purchase of Russian-made agricultural machines and associated equipment.
The document was inked by Agroinvestbonk top manager Farrukh Taghoymurodov and Rosselkhozbank head Dmitry Patrushev.
In the course of the talks, the two reportedly discussed a broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between the two banks.
Founded in 1992, Agroinvestbonk, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has main branches in Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa and 61 other branches across the republic. Agroinvestbonk is one of the leading providers of finance to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and the agricultural sector in Tajikistan.
